“DIABETES” Concept paper

Background of the study

Diabetes is one of the common sickness in my family and its also common sickness of every filipino. Diabetes is a complex group of disease caused by a number of reason, diabetes have Hyperglycemia or Sugar High Blood either because there is low production of Insulin. There are three common forms of diabetes. Type1 Diabetes Mellitus body cells fail to produce Insulin due to a compremised immune system causing damage to the cell where production of insulin by the body cellsor the body dies not effectively make use of the produced Insulin that’s why I choose Diabetes Mellitus disease beacause one of diabetes people diying in this disease, that’s why I want to discover the midicine of diabetic people I want to help them.
Preliminary Literary Review

Diabetes, often referred to by doctors as diabetes mellitus, describes a group of metabolic diseases in which the person has high blood glucose (blood sugar), either because insulin production is inadequate, or because the body’s cells do not respond properly to insulin, or both. Patients with high blood sugar will typically experience polyuria (frequent urination), they will become increasingly thirsty (polydipsia) and hungry (polyphagia).

Diabetes is a disease that occurs when your blood glucose, also called blood sugar, is too high. Blood glucose is your main source of energy and comes from the food you eat. Insulin, a hormone made by the pancreas, helps glucose from food get into your cells to be used for energy. Sometimes your body doesn’t make enough—or any—insulin or doesn’t use insulin well. Glucose then stays in your blood and doesn’t reach your cells.

Over time, having too much glucose in your blood can cause health problems. Although diabetes has no cure, you can take steps to manage your diabetes and stay healthy.

Sometimes people call diabetes “a touch of sugar” or “borderline diabetes.” These terms suggest that someone doesn’t really have diabetes or has a less serious case, but every case of diabetes is serious.

What are the different types of diabetes?

The most common types of diabetes are type 1, type 2, and gestational diabetes.

Type 1 diabetes

If you have type 1 diabetes, your body does not make insulin. Your immune systemattacks and destroys the cells in your pancreas that make insulin. Type 1 diabetes is usually diagnosed in children and young adults, although it can appear at any age. People with type 1 diabetes need to take insulin every day to stay alive.

Type 2 diabetes

If you have type 2 diabetes, your body does not make or use insulin well. You can develop type 2 diabetes at any age, even during childhood. However, this type of diabetes occurs most often in middle-aged and older people. Type 2 is the most common type of diabetes.

Gestational diabetes

Gestational diabetes develops in some women when they are pregnant. Most of the time, this type of diabetes goes away after the baby is born. However, if you’ve had gestational diabetes, you have a greater chance of developing type 2 diabetes later in life. Sometimes diabetes diagnosed during pregnancy is actually type 2 diabetes.

Other types of diabetes

Less common types include monogenic diabetes, which is an inherited form of diabetes, and cystic fibrosis-related diabetes .

How common is diabetes?

As of 2015, 30.3 million people in the United States, or 9.4 percent of the population, had diabetes. More than 1 in 4 of them didn’t know they had the disease. Diabetes affects 1 in 4 people over the age of 65. About 90-95 percent of cases in adults are type 2 diabetes.1

Who is more likely to develop type 2 diabetes?

You are more likely to develop type 2 diabetes if you are age 45 or older, have a family history of diabetes, or are overweight. Physical inactivity, race, and certain health problems such as high blood pressure also affect your chance of developing type 2 diabetes. You are also more likely to develop type 2 diabetes if you have prediabetes or had gestational diabetes when you were pregnant. Learn more about risk factors for type 2 diabetes.

PROMOTING “HUMSS”

HUMANITIES AND SOCIAL SCIENCE Or ( HUMSS)

Humanities and Social Sciences is an Academic track that prepare you in your future profession. If you’re planning to be a teacher, lawyer, policeman/police woman, psychogist, or either public speaker. You should take this track.

Before I reached the senior high I heard a lot that was hard. There are so many complaining learners who have greatly adjusted their study, Because of this I started getting nervous because of what I heard but Of course I need to be ready For a while when I was in senior high school I would reduce my fears.

the need for humss you should not be shy should you have confidence in yourself that you can and you should like and love what you are doing because when you love you, you’re not easy to give up. In humss you have to face your face in a good way you need strength. There are others who are inferior to the course of humility.

It’s easy to say that many selections are easy to say but we should not minimize it or just create it for it’s very difficult to say that senior highs are harder than you have no idea what that’s it, but for me it does not matter if you work hard.Because for me you can learn a lot more about your knowledge, but I say this is not because it’s my course for just basing it on my experience as humss. If you had your own world silent and shy now you can learn to mingle and learn from noise in a good way.

And now I’m saying that humss is not easy to choke but many chalenges but you will learn and you will learn a lot that you have learned to say that I promise that and that all thank you.😂😘

-kindly read and comment thank you😘
